Lavender:
In the book Essential Oils Desk Reference we learn of Lavender’s ability to regenerate tissue in the healing of burns, and other wounds; helps relieve sunburn, including the lips; is calming, relaxing, and balancing–both physically and emotionally.
It is antiseptic, antifungal, analgesic and anti-inflammatory. Lavender is considered a universal oil. If in doubt, use Lavender. It can be applied to the Vita Flex Points and directly on the Area of concern.
Helichrysum:
When asked if he could only have three oils with him on a desert island, what would they be?
Dr. Gary Young said, “Lavender, Helichrysum & Frankincense.
Some medical properties for the use of Helichrysum include it being an anticoagulant; anesthetic; anti-spasmodic; antiviral; a liver protectant; for skin conditions; a detoxifier; and aids in the regeneration of nerves.
It stops pain. It is uplifting to the subconscious, and can calm anger. It can be applied to the Vita Flex Points, and directly to areas of concern, and can be used with a diffuser.
Frankincense:
There are at least 52 references to Frankincense in the Bible. Biblical physicians considered it valuable for “every conceivable illness” known to man. Its value was greater than gold.
Medical properties:
antitumoral; immuno-stimulant; antidepressant; muscle relaxing. It is used for depression, cancer, respiratory infections, & inflammation. It increases spiritual awareness; improves attitude and uplifts spirits.
It can be applied to the chakras/Vita Flex points, can be directly inhaled, diffused, or taken as a dietary supplement.
Thyme:
Historically, Thyme has been used medically for over 1700 years. It was used by ancient Egyptians in the treatment of infectious diseases. As an essential oil, it is considered anti-aging; highly anti-microbial; antifungal; antiviral; and antiparasitic.
It is used for infectious diseases, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, hepatitis, and may be beneficial in helping overcome fatigue and exhaustion after illness. It is especially useful for strep type sore throats. Thyme is a very potent, and often used with an appropriate carrier oil.
It should be avoided during pregnancy, and used with caution with High Blood Pressure.
Because of the concentration and purity of Young Living Essential Oils (one drop of peppermint oil is equal to 29 cups of Peppermint Tea), we encourage you to learn as much as possible about the oils.
Remember, when working with essential oils, more is not necessarily better.
